Winter finally decided to be winter and while I am so ready to walk barefoot through green grass, I decided to go with it and let the snow inspire me. I was going to go all out with blue lips and blue contour, but I stuck with just the new blue eyeshadows from Maskcara Beauty. These shadows are highly pigmented and easy to work with.
I love practicing and getting creative with colors. Just a year ago, I was only using a 4 color palette from the drug store and look how far I have come. Never say never, because practice really does make perfect!
Before I added the blues, I started by priming my eyelids with linen highlight and setting with the vanilla dust setting powder. This allows for the shadows to show more true to the color you see in the tin as well as make blending a whole lot easier. I then used bubba as a transition shade. Once my canvas was set to have fun, I slowly added denim to the outer corner. I used the tighter blending end of the new blend and tap brush by maskcara beauty building it to my desired color.
Once I had the denim where I wanted it to be, I used linen highlight again to cover just the first half of my lid again to really make the lighter colors pop. I added duke into the center of my eye with the packing end of the blend and tap brush. I then used the smudge end of the ishadow everything to apply glamazing illuminator to the inner corner.
Of course I couldn’t forget to stay on trend by bringing bubba and denim along my lower lash line as well. I finished off with a blue eyeliner from NYX cosmetics and applied some mascara.
