How to Clean Your Makeup Brushes

I honestly didn’t think much about how clean my makeup brushes were before I became a Maskcara Beauty artist. It makes complete sense to me now why you would want to, so before I show you the fastest and easiest way to get clean and disinfected brushes with Maskcara Beauty’s restore brush cleaner, lets talk a little about the importance of doing so.

Why do you need to clean your brushes?

There are two reasons why you should clean your makeup brushes. The first being the most obvious, bacteria growth. No matter what type of makeup you are using, bacteria from your face and the environment can attach and flourish in your makeup brushes. Making sure your brushes are clean will decrease or stop unwanted skin issues caused by these bacteria.

How often should I clean my makeup brushes?

Your makeup brushes should be washed a minimum of once a week. This used to be a hassle with the traditional methods of washing your brushes with soap and water. Not only did this take up to 12 hours to dry, but it could also decrease the life of your brushes by stripping the glue that holds the bristles to the handle.
